• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stranded on hwy transmission out

Exactly!

On a technicality, I am not sure that BRP can withhold the information as to what they did. Even though the issue was fixed under warranty, the bike is no longer their property. I believe that details of the changes and/or fixes must be reported to the owner if he really wants to know. There should also be a detailed repair record given to the owner for his records. The repairs made here could also have some influence on future repairs or if additional problems are incurred.

1. Under warranty-brp is obligated to fix or replace.
2. Owner of record has right to know what was broken and how it was repaired.
So, I'm curious, has anyone out there ever had any new vehicle fixed under warranty and also had dealer refuse to disclose repair?
We may have to start secreting nanny cams on our spyders when we drop them off for service!:yikes:

After further consideration

Could it be Dany has taken all affected parts back to Canada for further analysis? It is possible a deffenative answer as to what caused the problem did'nt exsist when he made the repair. Plausible?

when you think of it

the tech could of brought a new transmission with him and replaced it and brought the bad one back with him for research

Glad it's fixed

Man behind a curtain working on behalf of larger entity. We've seen this movie before and it included a girl, her dog, a lion and tin man. Hope the ending goes just as well.

I like the grassy knoll theory. In any case, I'm glad to see it is fixed.

The real question is, is it really fixed ? If the clutch was slipping and not replaced, it is not fixed. The expensive replacement csst has just been delayed until further notice. Probably at the owners expense as BRP refuses to warranty clutch problems.

Give it a rest, people! No, I don't agree with the way it was handled...but the problem was fixed in an expiditious manner, and the OP is back on the road. He has reported no further problems. All the conspiracy theories in the world and all the griping about BRP or dealers won't change things. Let him ride it and enjoy it instead of trying to get him to look under every rock for another problem. Sometimes you folks make me crazy!!! :lecturef_smilie:

:agree::agree::agree:, Give it a break. There was a problem, BRP fixed it immediately, whats the problem??? I think some folks on here have a tendency to want to find something to complain about. My opinion is that in this case BRP stepped up to the plate immediately and fixed something that was not working properly, and i can't find any fault in that.

Crap happens ... and BRP showed up with the shovels!

Yeah the Clutch Busters showed up and drove the gremlins away.
