• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Storms

Just got back to BC--- the Big City. Lol. Am Amish at home and work but don't see any damage yet to house- will check business tomorrow.

I had a miss hap a tree decided to land on my carport and on my fithwheel camper. But I do have insurance. Maybe not enough but all is okay here.Hope everybody close to joplin and tuscoloosa, ala. are safe!

I don't check this board much. Glad to hear you all are okay. This has been a crazy year for bad weather. nojoke

Glad you are OK Scotty:thumbup: This weather is nuts Saturday we had a little front come thru no biggy --I thought. This AM check in with guys at work and come to find out that little storm here was a big one 18 miles N.E. of here where my shop is located, and a lovely tree fell on my brand new (3 months old) excavator:gaah: just crushed the engine compartment hood no big deal. It just amazed me at my home no indication of severe weather yet at my shop it was pretty nasty. You just never know:dontknow:

Jim

Glad to hear that you,Nancy and your collectibles didn't get damaged. Lack of power is bad enough, but at least it's not the dead of winter or the heat of mid summer!
Jim; Are you sure that the tree isn't getting back at your excavator for destroying so many of its relatives?:D

Hmm--never thought of that scenario??

:roflblack::roflblack:

It's been 90 and humid-- but at least there's a breeze. Takes forever to get anywhere in town--- looks like a war zone. No power at work or home. About the worst number of tree damage and roofs torn off I've seen in our town---- but nothing compared to the folks in Joplin.

Glad you are all okay -- we know a little about no power inconvience in FL --hurricanes get us almost every year. Make you appreciate the technology we have now all the more. Prayers for all.

Scotty,
Thanks for keeping us posted, glad you and yours are OK.
Here in San Diego we forget how bad mother nature can be to the rest of the country.

Back on line at 7:45 PM Tuesday. 51 hours was sure better than I anticipated. My hats are off to the Consumers Enery crews, phone and cable crews, and the tree crews that are clearing the way and restoring the power. They are facing a real challenge, and they are gaining ground fast. I hope everyone else who is still dealing with damage or camping out in their livingroom in all this heat, gets relief soon.

You got your power restored at about the same time that the heat and humidity subsided. Glad to hear you are back online.

Glad to see you're ok Scottie...was thinking about you when we heard one drop over your way..We were fortunate here in Jackson...very high winds...lost a big tree in the back yard...saved me from cutting it down.

Glad your all ok

Teddy & I have been 'n every night that all would be ok & that everyone in our SpYderLovers Family is safe.
