• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Storage and parking brake?

Parking Brake & Long Storage?

:coffee: Well, I'm still confused about your question. I have always stored my Spyder with the Parking Brake on.

That being said, I guess you could block the wheels and store it with the Parking Brake off.

Also, maybe you might raise the Spyder 'UP OFF' the Tires. SO that they don't set (Flat Spot).....

There's been quite a few parking brakes who got stuck.

So no off season here, but I leave it in the garage always with wheels blocked and the parking off.

Also leave it with the key in the ignition, not sure about this one but I believe that could help to avoid key programming issues.

I will be leaving mine off this winter, but my only question is how long does the beeping last when the brake is not applied. Thanks guys

While I really like 2dogs answer, :ohyea: the 'Warning, you forgot to apply the park-brake!' beeping generally only goes for about 30 seconds.... it just seems like it goes for a lot longer!

Thanks Peter, that's a great answer. I like to leave it off so I can move it around in my congested shop. Anyone want to come over and help cleanup/out my shop?

How about removing the fuse/relay for the Parking Brake after turning it off?
:hun: too much chance of forgetting to put back in when the first ride opportunity arrives:lecturef_smilie::banghead::roflblack: then will be one more thing to slow you down from just going :sour::roflblack::roflblack:
