• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stolen Plate!

Would you really want to take a chance that you may need to kill someone over a stolen plate? Take pictures call the cops and let it go.

No, I wouldn't but this wasn't just any ol' plate either. I mean, who in their right mind would steal an Airborne vanity plate? That's like picking a fight with a guy sportin' a 'Delta' tat....you pretty well deserve what's headed your way....just for being that stoopid! :yikes:

Okay, I'm just curious - how may of you out there have, or have thought of replacing the screws for holding the license plate on?

Because, it looks like I'm gonna be forced to - and some jag-off STOLE MY PLATE!
Of course this happens on a weekend ride , so i can't even do anything about not having a plate until Monday, and I just know I'm gonna get pulled over on my way home!

Replace your plastic screws with 10-24x1 inch round head stainless machine screws and nylocks nuts. this change will slow down the thief and hope you catch the bad guy and make the culprit pay the last one you lost.

I'm definitely going out and getting some new hardware - thanks for the suggestions on that!

Actually just got the plate replaced at the DMV - they voided the my old plate number and gave me a new one - cost me $7 bucks so it wasn't as awful as I was afraid it was gonna be.

Honestly, my biggest fear was that someone would be using my old plate on their bike, and do something unlawful, and since my name is attached to that plate number they'd be out looking for me!

For similar reasons it looks like for the time being "The Batman" will not be out on the Spyder for a while - as you can imagine I had a run in with law enforcement this weekend - too bad it wasn't about the stolen plate!

Danny,
I agree with you; stealing an Airborne plate should have put this :cus: on the annual "Darwin" list of stupid people doing the dumbest things... :roflblack:
