SEATS
Hi Dave here,
I just saw your post and thought I would comment,
All the after market seats are very good, it does not matter what brand they are.
Some people love their Corbin, Ultimate, Sargent or what ever it is a personal thing
not all BUTT's are the same so one size does not fit all.
The seat gel that I have is not like any other,
I have it made special for me by the same manufacturer that makes the medical Gel.
I have for 40+ years owned Valley Medical Repair in California, when medical grade gel
came out I used and still do use lots of it.
I had the same sore butt problems everyone else has so I thought I would try and use some
in my own seat that was in about 1975 I took my seat apart and put some gel into it.....
that made a big difference, Gel is used in hospital beds and other places where a person is
in one position for long periods of time and get bed sores or hot/sore spots, what the gel does
is to conform to your shape and it is constantly moving with you to eliminate hot spots and
pressure points. It never goes flat or changes it stay the way it was made, however you can
cut it with scissors to make it any size you want. If you shop around you will find seat mfg.
charge a bunch of money for a seat with gel in it I have seen them for as much as $1200.00
You may want to give it a try before you lay out big money, you can install it yourself...
I have the entire kit for $79.95 that may be just what the doctor ordered...
Ride Safe
Dave
I have a 2012 rts with stock seat. I have a full sheep skin and the new air hawk on it. But after 80 miles I am hurting. Thinking about the ultimate seat. I seen Motorcycle Dave's gel foam seat kit does every one that has them still like them.
Thanks
