• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stir the pot!

Thanks Bruiser and your BetterHalf...

I'm still around three weeks out from being home. And as for ryding...well lets just say that I have a bit of a hick-up I have to get over before I can ryde. The Army in it's infinite wisdom decided this year to make 3 wheeled motorcycles required to have an MSF course before we can drive on post. Last year no such requirement. But what they didn't do was provide the 3WBRC for those of us that do ryde, instead they put in the AR that we can take the two wheeled course that is offered or pay out of our own pocket to take a 3 wheeled course. Now that wouldn't be so bad if NC offered a 3 wheeled course. They don't, they are working on having one early next year. I called the local BRP dealership and wouldn't you know it...They NEVER HEARD of a 3WBRC. They sell the fricking machines and they don't even know that the MSF has had a 3WBRC since 2010!!!!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

So I can get my license, I can ryde it off post all I want. But I can't drive it onto post and park it at my house until I either take a 2 wheeled course out of my own pocket, or ryde to another state and pay to take a 3WBRC in a state that actually offers one.:gaah:

I didn't know that either!! The AF hasn't done that...yet. We can still ride on the two wheel MSF card. Lenoir Comm. College in Kinston is trying to get their trike course set up. Kris (Bruisersbaby) has been on them about it but the state is dragging their feet. This will give her more ammuntion to get them moving. We'll keep you posted if you want us to. Retirees don't have to have the MSF course to ride on base but I took it for the insurance deduction.

Tell me about it.

I can ryde on the two wheeled MSF card as well. But why would I want to. I don't own a bike, I own a trike. I've never rode a motorcycle of any kind before and I went with the Spyder because of the looks, the safety, and I like being different. My brother gives me grief every time we talk because my rig has and I quote "permanent training wheels". Even his wife gets in on it saying that her dog could ride my Spyder. But for everyone that gives me grief about it, there are two more that want to take it for a spin because they have seen them just never rode one before. Every other SSG in my unit except for one wants to take my rig out for a test drive around the parking lot when we get back. My 1SG and CO want to as well. They all ride 2 wheels and most of them give me grief about it but they all end with "You know we are just teasing, at least you ride." I just think it's funny that the army makes a requirement puts it into regulation but fails to provide the Service Members the means to meet the requirements. I want to sign up for the on post course, just so I can ryde onto post with my rig and show up to take the course on one of their "training bikes" with my Spyder sitting 10' away. Then hop onto my rig at the end of the day and just ryde off.
