• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Still riding weather in northern Illinois

Yesterday and today the temps were in the mid-70's and the skies blue. I was out riding for a few hours each day and thrilled that this early November was still so nice for being on the Spyder. But sadly I have to go out of town, by air, for several days and undoubtedly by the time I return around mid-month the season will have ended. Or maybe not. I'm holding off on adding the Stabil until it is really clear that riding is done for the year. When you get as old as I am, you don't want to miss your chances for being out in the wind. What does surprise me, by the way, is how many bugs still end up on my windscreen this time of year.

Same scenario here in southern Ohio. Weather guessers are saying 70s until at least next Wednesday. Wife and I are planning a Spyder outing tomorrow and I will probably ride solo on the Guzzi on Friday. We even had a discussion this morning about another short trip on the Spyder next week. A Nice three day ride before the weather gets sketchy and I do this....

Temps in the mid to high 60's in NY State. I'm glad of it because my truck is in the shop getting brake lines and a proportioning valve, so I've had to ride the bike into work.

Weather

:coffee:...Yes, enjoy your Ryde Time Weather.
Looks like a great storage place for the Spyder
and friend.

Stay Healthy. ....

Looking like a few more days of pleasant rides here in central IL - then might be a bit chilly........ still might get a sunny high 50's day or two in after next week - fingers crossed.

Down here in Southern Illinois Carbondale area has been beautiful this week. A little chilly riding into work, but perfect in the afternoon riding home. I started putting staybil in on my last tank just in case it all the sudden gets too cold to ride.

Year long Spyder riding here in So Cal but the wife wants us to move (year or so) to Illinois since her father is getting a bit older and may need assistance.

Tomorrow (Thursday) will be near 75 in mid-Michigan, followed by 7 days no higher than 40, so will add long-Johns under the leathers and turn on the RTL heat. I’m good down to about 24F as long as no snow or salt residue on the road.

But do you enjoy riding when its 24F? Personally the fun is totally gone when its anywhere near that cold, regardless of how I dress or the electric heating on the bike. On a sunny, calm day I might want to ride when it gets colder, but not anywhere near 32 degrees.

Today is the last day for a while or even the rest of winter for us. All depends. Up to 3” of rain around the Great Lakes and snow Saturday and Sunday. Nothing higher than 40 and rain snow mix projected for the next 2 weeks. Every night below 32 so that means icy or potential slick in mornings so that puts and end for me. Might squeak out a day or so before they throw salt/brine in January but if not………It was a great fall. Never can complain abut riding with just a shell on November 10th, even if it might be the last day.

I may take the bike out for a spin later but right now it's 30° outside. Supposed to warm up to high 50's later. Tomorrow is 100% rain and Saturday is 65% rain. Sunday it's gonna be a high in the 40's. Next week, high in the 40's. So, I think we're done here in upstate NY.

Actually, yes, on a nice sunny day. Full modular cracked a bit for fresh air, leather up and down. Easier on the knees than the downhill skiing I used to whoever colder…

I took a nice ride yesterday myself, mid to high 60's was great!! My sleds are coming in the shop for a shake down, it will be here before we know it!!:ohyea:

I can ride as low as the 40's , I try to ride at least every weekend ( even in the winter) as long as there is no salt on the roads.
