Hi All,
After reading all the horror stories on these forms about the Steering Update I was really concerned about bringing mine in as it sounded like my Hindle would give me problems (I have a 2008 SM5 with a Hindle Exhaust and about 4,000 miles.)
After reading about the Canisterectomy, I decided to try that as a preventative measure and then go get the software upgrade.
300 miles later, I couldn't be happier. She is running better than she ever has before. I highly recommend the patch + canisterectomy.
I also wanted to share... my dealer (Richardson Motorsports in Dallas, TX) says they have performed over 40 upgrades so far, and haven't had a single complaint. The head of their service department seemed surprised when I mentioned that many people were having problems.
