• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 rts not moving, at idle, pressure on bars either direction, you would swear it need power steering belt replaced or adjusted.

I don't think there is a " belt " in the system ...... I suggest you try this .... with the motor off - try turning the handlebars ..... then with the motor on try it again ....is there any difference ???? .... If not the DPS may have failed. .... This was a recall back in 08-09 spyders, but I haven't seen a lot of this after the initial failures ..... good luck .... mike

As I understand the system the electric power assist does not activate until the vehicle is rolling. Ergo, when stopped turning the bars is your muscle power alone.

There is a motor down there I believe, I think I would slip it into the dealer, you could have a issue going on!

Pardon my misinterpretation. As Mike said, you should check for noise both with just the key on and with the engine at idle. I think the DPS is one of those modules that does not activate until the engine is running. At this link, https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en/shop/for-sale/parts-iframe.html, go in the RTS SE6, Fiche 07 Steering and look at part 118, the power steering module; no belt there, just an electric motor system. If it's making noise I think Mikey's right; have a dealer check it out. Ouch! It's an expensive critter.
