• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Steering issue, mega problem

Yep....I'm, W2F... WTF, does it make any difference. :roflblack: All I know is my sides are hurting from laughing so much. I no longer own a Spyder but visiting this site is sure entertaining !!

Sorry W2F - I really didn't mean it as the other word - totally serious. I say the other word a lot but I never call anyone that, well not in a forum where I'm not supposed to do it cuz it's familyish and all that. But I see you can be called an A$$ in here by others and all is well. Interesting how that all works.

Hey...don't sweat it. You and Lou are good people in my book. I knew what you meant when you abbreviated my name WTF....but dirty minds twisted it into something else. I'm in the dirty mind group too.....that's why I got such a good laugh out of it.

Well I'm a redhead now but must have had a blonde moment from the past - I had no idea I did that and now it was like Rut Row! But it is pretty funny:2thumbs:

RARELY post back to him? You're CONSTANTLY arguing with him. He can't post anything without you throwing in your opinion which is fine, everyone is entitled to one. But what's up with ASSume - what the hell is that supposed to mean? That is NOT an opinion - THAT IS PLAIN OLD NAME CALLING.

No, I didn't equate WTF as the other nasty word. I don't abbreviate nasty words, I spell them out. You taught me it's spelled Way 2 Fast, not Way Too Fast - my mistake but I didn't meant WTF in that context. I was thinking Way Too Fast - my bad, I can't spell.

And another thing, I'm not gonna answer to your condescending posts anymore. You have a right to your opinion, I have a right to mine. Anyone can agree to disagree but you're down right snotty and you flip flop constantly.

Whatever. You think I'm constantly arguing with him--- I see it very differently-- especially as of late. On this thread in particular, out of nowhere he attacks. Considering the nasty PM's I have received -- you and your 'gang' of malcontents have no room to talk.

Take a long ryde and :chill: already... it might change the bad tude' you guys always seem to be in. Harboring such anger isn't healthy...

Hey everyone
I really appreciate your comments on my steering issue.
I have been pissed with the situation and right now am in the NUMB situation. I must admit that I do not care any more who is at fault about a serious steering issue and I would just like to get the problem fixed. If I had money I would sue the dealer and go after BRP as well, but I spent it all on the purchase. I checked out prices for going to England to a dealer, but not possible because its too expensive.
From what I have seen to date, I think that disconnecting the DPS sounds the best option for now and I will investigate this further and see what is involved in doing so.
I do appreciate such loyal following of what seems to be a wonderful product,,, in theory,, and I do understand how difficult it would be for BRP to get more involved in one issue. I have suggested to them that they contact dealers and stop sending second hand bikes abroad without after care of some sort. I did buy the bike without any guarantees and if nothing more, I hope someone else may not purchase a bike from reading about these issues, without proper guarantees.
What goes around comes around.
Thanks to all.:spyder:

Do not give up hope yet. There are others who have ridden without power steering, and while it is not the optimal solution it should work for you until some better alternative comes along.

I would definitely try to get in touch with Carlo and explain the entire situation to him. There is a chance that BRP would be able to do something about it. While the dealer may not have given you any warranties or guarantee, they obviously sold you a defective unit and BRP may be able to get you some assistance with that.

I am very sorry that this entire situation is happening to you. Nobody deserves to have anything like this happen when making a purchase of any item, but even more so when it can impact your personal safety. Please keep us informed as to what you do, and what happens next.

This is my final post to you fly man. Whatever PM's your getting, their not coming from me and I know nothing about any nasty pm's you are getting.

My "gang" of "malcontents" are good people who are honest and say what they mean. No pussing footing w/ my "malcontents". No flip flopping with them either.

I'm chilled dude, more chilled than you'll ever be. What sparked my temper was you said something that wasn't true - about parking the bike and not ryding it. That's ASSuming. Evening after I posted I rode it. So I'm all done with you and your ASSumptions.
