There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Steering Adjustment Question

This morning while cruising on the interstate I noticed that my handlebars were VERY slight turned to the right to keep the Spyder going straight. Just a few degrees off center. I'm not sure if this is a result of installing the new adjustable handlebars or the new sway bar. This is the first interstate riding I've done since the upgrades so I don't know when the 'offset' occurred. The Spyder handling is fine and the ride is smooth. Just tilted handlebars.

I haven't had a chance to research the maintenance manual so my question is: Is this an adjustment I can make or am I looking at something more serious?

The problem is caused by neither of the 2 items you mentioned! My bars have been "off to the right" exactly like yours since new. After numerous alignments, new ball joints, 2 new DPS units, the problem persists. Tire wear is OK, but bars are still off to right slightly. BRP is still trying to figure it out.

KYSPYDER

That sounds a bit confusing as the spyder has the same toe in and out as a car so if the bars are centered and the alignment was done they should have the wheels tracking straight on the road?
Maybe the dps is off center and needs adjustment.
Hope all works out well Mike

Does it pull if you let go of the bars or are the bars just crooked and the Spyder travels straight??

My bars have been off center since new PE# 301 and I have not had power steering,
With the bad service from BRP I decided not to let them touch it again. I have purchased all the tools and service Manuel's and do it myself, I can hook up to buds by the internet
when needed from out of country. The spyder is not that hard to take care of.

VERY INTERESTING :yikes: I think this is the first time that I read, where anybody other than a dealer, was able to hook up to the buds.

Not the sway bar..!!

The sway bar would give you a handling problem but would not affect the position of the handle bar. The installation of the new handle bar/risers could be the culprit if the handle bars were straight before. If they were off before the change may have made it more noticeable. Don't know the type or procedure in that change you made...!!:dontknow:

He stated that he has no power steering so it sounds like the DPS is out and maybe the steering alignment was off from the time of purchase.
Alo i have heard of a pirated BUDS internet download that can be had but for my money i wouldent use it.
Ill leave buds to the dealer incase of any warentee issues.

I believe your fix would be an alignment and adjustment to the steering angle sensor. This is done by physically centering the handlebars, re-alignment and then resetting the Zero on the sensor with BUDS. Not sure why a BRP tech couldn't figure this out.

My Spyder was off center when I purchased it and this is how it got corrected.

:agree: The dealer has a tool to center the steering for alignment, but it might be useful in this case, too. Center the steering with the tool, check the handlebars, then reset the steering sensors if all is well. If the bars are crooked with the steering centered, the ti-rods are unequal, and the stering will have to be adjusted there first, and alingment done, then the sensors zeroed, if that is the case.
