• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Starts to really look like a trend...

Diff..!!

Different breed. Once encapsulated falls in the catagory of the smart car..cute but not a spyder..!!

It has a three cylinder engine.

I would say that there is a less than 5% chance of this thing making it to market at any price, much less at $6800. I have been through this with Aptera and Carver. While it all looks good in the early advertisement, I worked in manufacturing long enough to know that a lot of dreams die from concept to production.

On the other hand, I would give as much as $15k for one of these and use it as a toy.

There are a couple threads on the Elio. Might be worth your reading if you are interested. The $6,800 does not seem like a realistic or doable price. The fine print states this is a prototype, and they are looking for investers to pre-order the product, put people to work, and inspire the American Economy. Delivery--a year or so.
