I had a new situation today. I was parked on a slight slope, nothing much, but the parking break was needed to hold it in place.
When I tried to start the bike after the usual procedures, it wouldn't start. I checked everything over, removed and replaced the key a couple of times, still no luck. Though I would be stuck.
But, then I put my foot on the brake, and bingo, started right up.
Does the Can Am have a built-in sensor that is telling it the bike is on a slope, and that the rider needs to have his foot on the brake before starting?
