• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Starter switch not working all the time - battery maybe? Ideas?

My starter switch fails intermittently. The dealer replaced the switch recently and it still fails. Has it something to do with the battery? Thank you, Mike Thorsteinson.

I vote for starter solenoid or maybe a bad ground/corroded connection.

Do you shift to neutral before you shut it down. One less thing the bike needs to perform before it will let it start. Hard habit to get used to but I am almost there.

What is the nature of this failure? Do you push the button and there is no sound? Or you push the button, and you hear a click? Or you push the button, and the starter turns the engine over slowly? When did this failure begin? After winter storage or before then? Did the failure occur rarely and now it occurs more often, or did it just start all at once, so you went to the dealer? What did your dealer diagnose as the cause of the problem? Dealers tend to like selling batteries - did yours say the battery could be the problem?

The SpyderLovers forum doesn't charge by the word. Use more of them.
