• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Started heat and gas fumes complaint with BRP and dealer

Sent BRP my first email about heat and gas fumes Thursday. I also called my dealer in Houston and told them about the problem and asked if they have had any other complaints on this subject. To my surprise their service department acted dumb founded and claimed to have never heard of these problems and to bring my spyder in to be checked. Not sure I am being dealt with honestly. Has anyone been to the Houston area dealer with heat problems ?

I can relate FIRST HAND that Mancuso knows full well the heat and fume problem. Have had several discussions with the service department on the subject and have 2 service tickets showing the complaint on EACH of our RT-s bikes.

The standard answer is ALWAYS that there are no known problems and bring the bike in. It results in revenue for the dealership.....

BS-O-Meter went full scale on this one.....

Did you accomplish anything with them ?:helpsmilie:

I see you are pretty new and own a 2013 ST. There are known heat issues with that year and model. BRP has several fixes, and your dealer should darn well know about them.

Don't know if I any ready for battle considering they are in denial. (Guess that is a nice way to say lying). Where can I find the replacement panels for sale ?

I believe that the replacement panels are free and under warranty. Someone who has been through the process will give you information on how to get it started. The dealer should also know how to get the ball rolling.

Dealers that suck when it comes to customer service, are still around. We are hoping this will change soon.

2014 Panels

Tell your dealer you want the 2014 ST panels for your 2013 and you want them replaced under warranty. If they don't believe you, tell them to call BRP. BRP is replacing panels under warranty if the owner asks for them. I have a '13 ST-S and got mine replaced. If the dealer won't cooperate or says that BRP turned you down, contact BRP directly. They know the '13's have heat problems and the new panels are the solution. I believe the panel replacement under warranty started a few months ago when the NHTSA got involved and lit a fire under BRP.

:agree: Start with BRP Care. Send them an e-mail about your issues. They should give you a case# with in a couple of days. Give that case# to your dealer and then the dealer will do what BRP tells them. Which should be to replace your panels with the new panels at no cost to you.
