Stand-Up™ Motorcycle Trailer

Great trailer..!!

had a single rail one for years. Hauled everthing from mopeds to Harleys. Easy to use even alone and stores in small area. I would recommend it...congrats..!!

Agree.

Got our Droptail this fall. Hauled from Ohio to Az, over 2000 miles, and hardly knew I was towing. Trailer keeps Spyder well balanced. Glad I made that choice. Kendon was on my radar, but Droptail had the better reviews.

:2thumbs: It liooks pretty handy...
But for not much more money; you can often find an enclosed 6x12 tandem axle rig...
So which one can you find more uses for? :dontknow:

I opted for a 71/2 x 14 x 7 enclosed single axel trailer, with brakes. The ramp is longer, and the RT fit well, was out of the weather, and out of sight from "unwanted attention". Towed it from the Portland area to Yellowstone without an issue.

Now, it will hold two street bikes, or both my Honda and Griz. It also doubles as a cheap toy hauler - haul my Griz to the riding area, then set up the cots and potty inside. Keeps us warm and dry. Finally, it's a nice storage locker, for the "off months".

You'll spend a bit more to get it just like you want it, but it has far more utility, than the other choices. JMHO............

I have the Drop Tail and like it. A enclosed one would be great, but what are you towing it with ??
I have seen way to many overloaded tow vehicles. Just my thoughts

An enclosed trailer (toy hauler) is great. There is no doubt about that. The problem I am facing is the absence of parking space for the trailer. That is where the ones that could be lifted up and storred away vertically in a much smaller space in my garage is the only option I can choose.

Most 6x12 enclosed trailers won't work...the clear door opening is too narrow. You need 6 1/2' or 7' to do the job in most cases.

So true replies!

I have a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer at home-and yep, spyder won't fit between the door jambs. Limited space here in our winter digs resort, so our fold up drop tail comes in handy. Pulling with a 3500# rated small suv, lower weight is important. Long distance to haul-need to get decent gas mileage. Would like to have enclosed to overnight in on occasion, so, now need to design way to turn flat bed drop tail into a decent camping unit!

Do you guys have any recommendations for a trailer that will hold both a Spyder and a Harley Road Glide?

You will probably prefer an enclosed trailer...I'd say a 7x15 v-nose (15' does not include nose) at minimum, or an 8x?? car hauler. A large platbed trailer might work, however. I have a 7x12 enclosed v-nose and I cannot get my large BMW in with the Spyder RT...I would need more length to do so. I can get in a smaller motorcycle with the Spyder GS, however as it is narrower in the rear. Best bet is to take the motorcycles when you shop for trailers and try them out...or tape out the exact inside dimensions on the garage floor and test fit that way. Remember that the real trailer has walls and the taped floor does not. You cannot let anything, including the handlebars, pass beyond the tape during loading.
