• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stalling when going into reverse

My 2014 RT has stalled twice when shifting from nuetral into reverse. It starts right up,but is annoying. Has anyone else had this happen their Spyder? Being fuel injected,it acts like a sensor shutting it down.
 
The test Spyder I had did it a few times but only when the engine was warm and I restarted it. My RTS SM6 has not done it at all in 3,500 miles
 
I have noticed that the 14s want you to keep the brake engaged when shifting into reverse and then it won't stall. Just my experience, it also wants the brake engaged when shifting out of reverse. When i say it wants the brake engaged i mean it wants you to press down and hold the brake pedal.

Engine Stalling when shifting into reverse

I too have this problem on a 2014 RT-S with 5300 miles. It's usually when first started and shifted into reverse, if I have driven the spyder for a bit, then stop and shift into reverse it's fine. If I stop somewhere & shut it off for more than a couple minutes, restart and shift into reverse to back out of a space it does it. Starts right up but is a bit annoying. :mad:
 
Sometimes; you just need to let it clear it's throat a bit...
Let it idle for just a few more seconds, before trying to grab a gear. :thumbup:
