ST recall done today

Took my 2013 ST Limited in this am at 0830 and out the door at 1000. Service manager has learned to look at Spyderlovers I think. Tis time he called me to alert about possible recall on my bike. Said he was disappointed that he lead guy had let him down and not informed him. Anyway he ordered 12 kits prior to the official US recall. He also ordered 12 replacement MC if old ones are damaged. Have to give kudos out to Mancuso Gulf freeway in Houston for being proactive. Also shout out to Roy there for staying on top of things and calling me first this time. Now to see how long until something else happens. Fingers crossed.

That's great that your dealer has the kits already. Now let's hope that this is truly a fix and not just a band-aid.

That's what I asked him Ann. How long before something else goes out as nothing has really been done to resolve the heat issue. It still has no place to go.

Some of our members are looking at ways to get the air moving under the Tupperware... Let's hope that they can solve THAT part of the equation! :thumbup:

MC cap replaced ?

so did the MC cap need to be replaced? I suggested to my dealers service manager that it would be a good idea in my opinion to have a few MC caps in stock just in case they found any damaged ones during the recall work and would save customers a return trip he said great point. I am scheduled for the recall service sept. 19th

Master cylinder recall

Interesting conversation with the service writer this weekend. Supposedly they cannot sell a 2013 off the floor until they have been checked and repaired or modified.y
