• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

squeek/rubbing sound brand new st

Just picked up a new spidey. Anyone have a strange rotation squeak/rubbing sound when new? Seems like the front driver. I know that the manual said that it takes a good 200 miles for brakes to set in. I only have 50 miles on it. I will see if it goes away before the 600 mile service. thanks

Brakes..!!

you can help it along, and helps you as well, by going down a clear road and making some emergency stops. You will see the abs work and you will heat up the brakes and disks. Do about ten times then a normal ryde and things will get better....

almost a thousand miles on my st-s and the brakes still squeak. I haven't tried the hard stops thing ? but maybe I will.

My 2013 RT had 400 miles on it. Had the same sound. Was told it is common and nothing really could be done. Now have over 2400 miles and no sounds that I can hear. Keep riding and enjoy the "must" ride to get rid of the noise. Its a good reason.:2thumbs:

Same squeeky sound here. My dealer (very good, btw), cleaned the rear brake up and said it will happen until around 5000 miles. He was right! Try cleaning things up with a water hose, but everyone so far is right. The brakes take a while to bed in. I would stop normally, and maybe a bit easy for the first 1000 miles or so. Have fun!
