Yeah, it's completely underpowered.
And the gear ratios for the SE/5 and probably SE/6 are just plain wrong.
Here's an example:
The other day I was trying to pull out a cherry tree stump and while I'm sure any Harley could have ripped that sucker out of the ground in no time, it took me over three hours to get it out with the Spyder.
the puny 106 hp (I know the OP claims four more with his exhaust, but maybe that would have made the stump pull 2 hours and 50 minutes) just couldn't do the job efficiently.
Sure on the open road I can pass anything I care to and once you develop a thorough understanding of the Spyder's handling characteristics you can out corner them too, but where it really counts the Harley wins hands down.
Next time I need a stump pulled I'm gonna find somebody with a Harley or maybe GoldWing, after all six cylinders must be way better than two or three.
