• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyders on the Dragon (Killboy pics)

OK .. THIS is scary. Why... why why???!! :banghead:

yellow.jpg

I only say this because a rider in the local community was killed recently, in a curve in a head on with a car that violated the center line. Lane discipline, people!

Look at the left front tire in that photo. Does that look right to everyone?

Bob

 What you are seeing is massive weight transfer to the left front, additional deformation due to the rider trying to force it back to his / her side of the road.

yep

look at his/her body position - wrong side of the bike.... should be shifted right, not left

Agreed. Realizing and acting too late. Lucky he regained control and didn't overcorrect. Mugging for the camera will get you in trouble. Many have been injured/killed on the Dragon by failing to maintain lane control. It will also net you a ticket from the Gendarme.

Tires look really weird while under different stresses.

Can't say I always stay on my side of the double yellow either.... but that is pretty far over. What we don't know is how far they could see ahead. Some places you can see clear though the next curve.

Just looks like they overshot it... which everyone has done before. Glad they didn't crash.

Wednesday

There on Wednesday at 12:57 going south and 2:31 returning north. I know Harvey (Spyderpops) and some of the guys were in front of me earlier in the day.

Guess they stopped filming after it was raining later in the day... we went through later in the day and I see no pics....
