• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyders in the Smokies Pictures

Did you attend any of the events? Wondered how the dinners were, etc.
I did not. Though only 165 miles from my house it was the longest ride I had taken since my back surgery and I wasn't sure I could make it so I didn't sign up for anything. That said the F3 was absolutely a dream to ride and after a total of 450 miles over four days I felt great. It's a long way from the thousand mile days of my youth but I'm just happy to be out there.

Here is one of mine.

What a great shot!! Looks like the same spot I hit. What a great view. I went to the dam to get a picture but it was closed for repairs.

It was nice to meet you, hope you had a good ride home, keep in touch, Pat and Connie , we talked in the parking lot below your room...
It was my pleasure. Sorry we did not get to hang out more. I told my family your $5,000 per win story while we were watching the Falcons win yesterday.

I had a wonderful time, and got to meet so great people (Deerslayer for one, the others I cannot name). As for pictures, I figure we all know what a spyder looks like around here, so I mainly took pictures of the scenery. The pictures do not do any of this area any justice. I have been going to this area for the past 7 years, and plan on going every year as long as I have health and strength. I have been very fortunate this year. I have been to the Maggie Vally/Gatlinburg area 3 times on vacation this year, and to the Boone area about 4 times (daughter goes to App. State, so that was sort of cheating). I must say, although I do not travel a lot, there is no other place I would rather be.

Lol! No, brothers don't hike, or camp out (quote from the movie "the marine"). This was taken from the bridge on 129 just before heading up the hill to the dragon.
