• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SpyderPops - Lamonster - humble apology

Thank you all so very much for your condolences. They mean more to me than you will ever know.
My first memory of Mom is of her placing me in the baggage compartment of our floatplane, giving me a rattle, smiling at me then turning around to sit. I didn't know at the time that she was the first female seaplane pilot in the State of Maine (or that we were in a floatplane:roflblack:)

During my two-week solo ride on Tas to Texas, I spent a few days near Coeur D'Alaine, Idaho. I used to commercially fly the Idaho backcountry for several years and miss it. While taking the scenic route from Saint Maries along the Chief Joseph River for about 100 miles, I enjoyed it more than ever as Tas felt as light and responsive as a J-3 Cub (2-place taildragger airplane) and I didn't have to worry about my wing tip hitting the canyon wall. It is located in the Bitteroot area and I felt this overwhelming sense of joy and thanked Mom with all my heart for being my Mom and making me the person I am. It was the most beautiful country I have ever seen and felt. They were also getting ready to pave about 25 miles of this road, which ends at St. Regis I-90 (I think). I also was so grateful for installing SpyderPops drive belt guard as it was pure gravel. Anyway, a couple of days later when I finally made contact with my husband, he told me that Mom had suffered a severe fall at the moment I was thanking her. She never recovered.

I believe with all my heart that we communicated spiritually and I am now happy again as I know she is in a better place.

One final note, Tas's lights didn't finally quit until I was safe and sound at my destination 3484 miles from home. Thank you all again for your kind words. Sarah

Sarah,

My heartfelt condolences to you at this time. I am so glad you were able to have a safe trip, had those times of precious memories while traveling, and were able to be with your mom. Sounds like you have some awesome memories that you will have for a lifetime, and she gave you skills and strengths that will last you a lifetime. <3 I know how hard this is as I lost both my parents this summer. Each day will be different, you will get through it over time. Travel safe. Will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Michele & Steve

Thank you again for the kind words and prayers. My heart goes out to those of you who have lost loved ones.

I have received some great advice on the GS/GR Shop Talk thread about my fender light problem and it doesn't sound too serious. I so appreciate you all. Sarah
