• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good option

The more entries and options the better. Thanks for adding to them.

Just a quick mock up.

logo design

Definitely like the absence of spider web in this nice, clean design. This is my opinion, and I'm not deliberately stepping on anyone's toes, but I feel the spider web is a bit over-used.

I like that isea

Brent, Where the black/white is in the middle of the picture, may have a road. Deanna

Great suggestion Deanna. I have to help my buddy plow the white fungus tonight, but if I get a chance I'm going to add that in.

"Spyders on the Web." (I have no graphics skills)

Actually, I'm surprised this site is called "SpyderLovers." I woulda thought "Spyderweb" would have been a natural. Was it already taken?

Action shots!

Loving the Spyder means movement and freedom. Parked shots are static. A shot of a group, moving, across a beautiful vista is my interpretation of this site. Include not only the models, but, the demographics of Spyderlovers: men, women, young, old, never ridden and enabled. Just a thought. Joe

Joe, I too was thinking about how to incorporate some of that into a logo. My idea was to leave an area on the logo that the web designer could put in a photo scroll that would pull from a location that users could upload photos, possibly the existing gallery. Then the header would by dynamic , living, and always representative of the group.

Simpler the better.
Very true when it comes to logos. Scenery shots are really nice, but can be problematic. I don't know how Lamont is thinking of using the logo other than on this web site, but if he is planning to use it elsewhere you have to keep in mind how it will look in both expanded and reduced sizes. Photographs of any sort, unless they are posterized or converted to line art, seldom work well. For example, compare the 1940's Prudential logo with the 1990s version. I'm sure you can see how the newer one lends itself to resizing much better than the older one.

By far my favorite. This tell the story. From a design standpoint, a bunch of models clogs things up. This is what having a Spyder is about, no matter what year, what color, or what model.
