Tom, we will see you at the hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. The pool is in the center of the hotel. You might be better served looking for us at the "Cafe" where most of us will be getting breakfast. Look for the people who look like motorcycle riders. <smiles>

Well this group of Spyderryders here in Key West are facing tremendous odds today.We are all here having breakfast in this really cool hotel.The weather is chilly 57 degrees not a cloud in the sky beautiful sunshine with a high of 65 degrees.The big problem for all Ryder's is a 150 mile Ryde to Ft Lauderdale looking at flat ocean, little island,sun glittering on the water.Going across 7 mile bridge with lunch at Alabama Jacks then back to the hotel in Ft Lauderdale.Tonight a visit to bike night at Hooters in Ft Lauderdale. tomorrow a private bus to take them to The Liberty of the Seas their cruise ship.
What an ordeal they are going to go through.
Please show sympathy to this intrepid group oh Spyderlovers.

Well we're all getting up and packing for our cruise. Our shuttle bus will be leaving the hotel around 10:30 and taking us to the port. Cindy & I, are excited for it has been years since we've been on a cruise. Perhaps we might see Jack Sparrow and the Black Pearl along the way.

The weather is a bit nippy this morning, although the sky is a beautiful blue.. (52 degrees, but should be in the low 70s by this afternoon) By the time we set sail and wake up tomorrow morning it will more than likely be in the high 70s to low 80s. Cozumel here we come.

My thanks to Ivor and Reggie for taking us on a beautiful ride down to Key West and the stay. They were truly great hosts. Y'all need to see Ivor's and Reggie's "new ride". The hotel that we stayed in was "5 star". I ate at a place called Siboney's which had "jaw slobberin" good pork. I mean to tell you that place knows how to make pork and chicken. I recommend it to anyone who has plans on going to Key West.

Will post pictures later. I'm not sure if we'll be able to post on the cruise, but I'll certainly try. Until then? Ya'll stay safe.

Arrived in Cuzomel about thirty minutes ago, The weather is perfect. Cindy & I, will be eating breakfast on the ship, and then renting a convertible and exploring the island. The temperature is a very pleasing 68 degrees. The sister ship to the Liberty at the Seas just pulled up. Lottsa people down here.

This vacation has so far been a truly relaxing vacation. We've had the best of both worlds in that we've done a lotta riding and now the relaxation. This excursion hopefully will be available next year. It has been fun.

Both the ride to Key West and the cruise went very well.The group met up in Fort Lauderdale and then went on a 2 day ride to Key West.The weather was great.We then boarded the Liberty of the Seas and had a 4 night cruise to Cozumel.The weather was great and the seas were flat.
Many who could not make it as well as some on the trip would like to do it again next year so I better get working on it.

Cindy & I, arrived back home in Sanford, Flarda, about 4:00 in the afternoon after leaving Ft. Liqourdale, around 10:30 A.M. Khudos to Ivor for organizing this adventure. I compiled a total of 1,100 trouble free and enjoyable miles riding my spyder for this affair. We had the best of both worlds. On one hand we did a lot of scenic riding, and on the other we were able to enjoy the rest and relaxation of a wonderful cruise. Royal Caribbean did a bang up job. Cozumel, Mehico, had some beautiful beaches. Cindy & I, opted to rent a jeep and we rode the island. I even tested the ocean waters of the Gulf of Mehico.

This was a great adventure, and I can say I would truly love to do this again. Thanks again, Ivor, for setting this up.

Cruise and ride 2015.

Busy contracting the event again for next December.The ship will be Royal Caribbeans Independance of the Seas.1 year newer and sister ship to the Liberty of the Seas.The length 5 nights and the itinerary 2 ports of call Belize and Cozumel Western Caribbean. The day of cruise 5th December.The ride to Key West will be for 2 nights in Key West instead of one and will be the 2nd and 3rd Dec .The 4th Dec will be hotel in Ft Lauderdale.

RYDE/CRUISE/BIKEOKTOBERFEST 2015

We have been asked by a couple of people who were on the cruise in December to repeat it for 2015 so here is what we have come up with.Instead of doing the cruise in December which made it difficult for many up north to ride down to Florida due to weather we have brought the event forward to October and combined it with a decent 2 day Florida ride as well as Bikeoktoberfest weekend.Here is the schedule.
15October 2 day 1 overnight ryde starting Orlando,West Coast Florida,Ocala Horse Country to Daytona Beach.3 nts Country Inn&Suites Port Orange for bike Oktoberfest.!9th Oct 4 nt Cruise Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the sea from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas ports are Nassauand Cococay private island and a day at sea.
I am posting this later today under rides trips and events where a day by day schedule will be given as well as prices.
You can do as little or as much as you wish.There are 3 sections to this.You are able to do one or two or all three.
