• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm in the Kansas City, MO area with my husband and his Harley VRod group for their annual Homecoming event. We took the long way there and stopped in at Cowtown and had lunch with Len. My husband didn't get to go to Spyderfest so I wanted to show him the sites and let him know what he missed.

I was asked to lead a ride from Platte City, MO to the Harley dealer in Olathe, KS and a retail store in Smithville, MO. Being from Michigan I didn't think this was a great idea as I know from prior experience that it isn't the best idea to have an out of towner lead a trip in unknown territory. I was reading the Spyder Sightings thread one day and saw that a Spyderlover from North Kansas City had met another owner from Platte City, MO so I sent them both PMs to see if they could help me with the route. Both replied with suggestions and I then invited them to come and enjoy a barbecue with us over the weekend and I gave them my cell phone number so they could contact me.

On Wednesday while I was on my way to KC I got a voice mail from GlassSpyder saying give her a call and we could get together for dinner. I didn't get to KC until after 9:00 so I left her a VM on Thursday and told her where we would be riding. Late Thursday afternoon we were at the store in Smithville when I see a Spyder RS pull into the lot. GlassSpyder (Voske) had come to meet us and she had already been to our campground to see if we were there. She rode back there with us and stayed for pizza. One of our friends needed to go to Walmart to buy food for our breakfast but she didn't know where it was. Voske started to draw a map and then she told her she would go with her and show her the way. How nice is that? We've invited them to dinner on Saturday and if she doesn't come I'm going to be really sad.

Today I rode a Harley Tri-Glide at the Factory Open House. Won't be buying one of those anytime soon!
