• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyderhaters Forum

It's almost becoming depressing to log onto this forum lately. I truly feel for all the 2013 owners who have a machine with heat issues, and I've heard many of you voice your concerns a time or two on here. I don't want to be disrespectful to anyone's opinions, but there is this small handful of people who vent about the same issue day after day after day.

To me it seems a lot of the heat complaints about the 2010s, 2011s and 2012s went away when the 2013s came out.

Fortunately, my 2011 never had heat problems.

I don't know that it is so much a case of 'Spyder-Hating' as it is frustration with their Spyder. It's the frustration that is probably bothering you and I agree, it's not real uplifting. But one of the reason's we'er here is to do what we can to help our brothers and sisters on Spyders.

It is a tough time for some, but we'll get through it. It helps to have friends in hard times. We can't always do something concrete, but just being here helps.

Hang in there... This too will pass!

sorry

sorry if we make you feel the way you do, but i am sure if you spent 30k for a bike that has nothing but problems you would voice your feelings on here, and as far as venting every day, if brp wont help and none of the dealers want the bikes as trade in's and brp gave the dealers a 20% off their cost to get ride of the 13's they had and the value of your bike dropped more than 10k on a trade if they wanted it, you would feel the same way, so when you see the topic about heat or fires or parts failing or anything relating to a 13 rt than don't read it if it bothers you so much. and i do say this with all respect to you and your opinions

COULD NOT SAY IT BETTER

I realize that many are tired of listening to the 2013owners complain......just image how tired we are of complaining

I agree with the originator of the thread. I have a 2013 RT-S and I feel the heat. I also had the ball joint issue and the cannister/mc issue. I paid my $32,000.00 (Spyder and Trailer tax tag and title out the door) just like everyone else.

However, to see day after day on this forum beating a dead horse just flat out gets old. I'm sorry that you are having your problems. However, constantly berating BRP or your dealer or even you spyder and coming up with the "same song second verse, little bit louder and a little bit worse) just ain't gonna accomplish JACK. IMHO.

Nothing spells BRP abandoning the 2013s like the release of the 2014s. Add to that the big sell off and deep discounts adding salt to their wounds and it's easy to see why there's so much negativity here lately. To me, rewarding BRP by dumping 2013s they made a huge profit on for 2014s they will again make huge profits on seems a bit counter productive.

I fully understand the frustration with buying something and not being able to use it. I've been there. But why reward them with doubling your losses and BRP gains? There would be far more productiveness in holding their feet to the fire so to speak for a resolution, then maximizing their gains by rushing to their next promise....

weight on my shoulders

sometimes it helps to vent, sometimes not. for the people can than deal with the problems we are having i would like to say CONGRATS and i am happy for you. when i worked and ran jobs i felt like a priest most days hearing the same problems about the job and lack of tools and personal problems but i dealt with it for 10 years and that's when i said no more running work i rather go back to work with my tools and not hear all the problems.
now i hope you are in good health but i am not, i went to 3 wheels because of that and i didn't want to stop riding at 62. the heat is very bad for my feel and i went into this in other treads so i won't bore you with it. we just want our problems fixed, that's all we ask for

Amen I would rather be enjoying the ride instead of being paranoid

just had a great idea

lets start a post on all the things people love about their spyder. that way all of us having problems with our bikes will start to hate reading about all the people that are not having problems. oh :cus: there has been one started already it's called SPYDERLOVERS

2013 Won't Be a Banner Year

Given the problems everyone from 2011/2013 have experienced with stinky fumes to melting parts in 2013 models. I do not see 2013 being a year to brag on with " a see what we did expression." Thankfully my 2011 has been pretty bullet proof so to speak (knock knock the sound of rapping knuckles on wooden head).

It is my opinion of the constant repeat complaints, referred to by multiple posters, to be the result of the poster not being familiar with the use of the forums "search functions" I know I was not. A good example to demonstrate the point, take the BRP missing RH air outlet grille cover. How many times did anyone of us that finally figured it out, answer the post by informing the poster it was not missing it was made that way!"

Being a fairly new to Can-Am's I can relate to a newbies frustration. Being a fairly old computer user I also can relate to the irrational of relplyng to old but already in print data.

And with that said I am now guilty of both sides of the thread. Sorry, but not really, sorry of either!

Bet they would stop complaining if someone would help them resolve their issues.nojoke

Those of us who have tried to help have been brushed off. I think several of them suffer from PLOM syndrome. (PLOM = Poor Little Ol' Me)

Someone (Einstein?) defined insanity as doing the same thing you've always done and expecting a different result. By this definition, some of our most vociferous gripers are insane.

These guys/gals are in pain. There are people who feel 32K is too much for a car, let alone a bike. And the way it looks, there's nothing that can be done for them. They are the epitome of "screwed"......

After you've been here a while you'll notice the complaints come and go in cycles. Right now we're at a high. If it really depresses you that much, take a sabbatical and periodically check back in.

If your exterior panels were melting and deforming, then you too might have PLOM. So cast not a stone.

"Insanity" would be thinking this is normal. The guy in the thread below deserves some of our patience while he works through this with BRP. If I were in his shoes, I would also be highly vexed.

SpyderAnn is not insane
FlamingoBabe is not insane

True that some may be not as serious, but again I say, if your panels were melting or your Spyder burning, you might feel differently.
