• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyderfest Yearbook 2013

Great idea! :clap:I see this is not just mug shots of people, but images of all the events and venues. Are you expecting to get the pics during the 'fest, or will you be able to handle a bunch after it's all over?

Getting the photos during and after is perfect. I figured a week or so after is when the cut off would be to submit any photos. When you do send them in via email please put what event they were taken at and if you know who is in the photo would be great.
 
How about an album or albums for the group rydes, like to Eureka Springs? Also, where should we designate the miscellaneous images - socializing at the lodging places, Denny's bacon ice cream run, etc.

Of course. Since I dont know all of the rides and places where people are going to meet up I could not list them. When you send in your photos please include the following:

You Name/Handle (So credit is given to who sends the photo)
What Event/Ride/location
Who is in the photo.

As the photos comes in I will make a new spot for them on the site.

I posted a few photos. Will have the camera out and taking pictures all day tomorrow. Hope to get some good ones.
 
Since most of us are back from Spyderfest 2013 if you could start sending in the pictures for the yearbook to [email protected]. On spyderfestphotos.com I am putting all of the pictures in a folder by who submitted them and what event they were. Comments should be enabled on the picture site. the ones with the most comments are what will make it into the yearbook. Still need photos so please send them in.
 
So I am working on getting the photos in for the Spyderfest Yearbook I took a good look at the photos that I took during the Drag Racing Event. I have decided to put the Drag Racing into a photo album ahead of the yearbook so everyone can see what the Year Book would look like, and if you wanted a copy you can order it. I talked to Lamont and he said it is ok to post the link since there is no profit being made on these.

Absolutely great pictures... brings back a lot of the excitement of this event which had to be the peak of SpyderFest 2013 !
 
So we have 5 people who have sent in photos for the yearbook. Keep them coming in. You can view the photos that have been sent in at http://www.spyderfestphotos.com. If you get a spinning wheel the system is still processing the photos and they will appear soon.
 
I will be putting the yearbook together this week. I should have it ready before or on Friday. Will post a link when ready. If there are anymore people who want to send in photos please do so.
 
Don't worry y'all. I am still working on this project. What I have done is put the Drag Racing Event up on iTunes as an iBook. As long as you have the iBook Reader from Apple (free) you can download the iBook when it gets approved. I should get an email as soon as that happens. When I do I will make sure I post the link. Once I get the YearBook Ready it will go up on iTunes as well.
