• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Saw that you went to Sturgis last year. Maybe you are confusing that experience with Spyderfest. Sometimes I have a senior moment and get places messed up or turned around or just plain can't remember.:banghead:

What are you expecting from the event? It is not a Bike Week Daytona or Sturgis type of event so if that is what you are expecting you will be disappointed.

Bingo! Thank you SpyderAnn, you hit the nail on the head. That's exactly why I will never trek across the country to go to one of these Spyder events. I'd rather just go to Arizona Bike Week, International Motorcycle Show, Las Vegas Bike Fest, or Laughlin River Run. Lots of fun. Lots of different kinds of bikes. Lots of good bands. Lots of vendors. Lots of good food. If I need to purchase something for the Spyder, I can just order it online. Why travel 2,000 miles? :dontknow: JMHO

With all due respect Pam you're missing out if you don't attend at least one Spyder-focused event. At those other motorcycle events, you're just one model (and one that usually doesn't get much respect) among many. At a Spyder event, you're surrounded by people that are passionate about the exact same activity that you are.

Attend one. If afterwards you still prefer a more general motorcycle event, fine. But don't compare a general event to something you haven't experienced yet.

Just my .02
