• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Anyone find a decent RV park near Cuba? Will the Fest be there again next year? Couldn't make it this year but definitely on my schedule for next year.

After seeing all the pic, I'm hoping I can make it next year. Looks like eveyone was having a lot of fun:clap:

RV park

We stayed at Lady Bug park about 1 mile from Cowtown. Great park, host/owners were fantastic. Lots of Spyderlovers stayded there they have nice accommodations. Many have already made reservations for next year.

Ladybug RV park is less than a mile from cowtown and 4 miles from Cuba proper.

Unless something changes SpyderFest is always held the last week in April. Check in should be Wednesday April 24 and end Saturday evening of the 27th. We usually close the registration desk at 5:30 in the evening, so if you get in after that just register at Cowtown the following morning. See you all there again next year!

Many of the hotels were filling up their reservations for next year already......... so I would NOT wait to try and book something. You can always cancel if you can't make it!

This is a true story, if the event doubles again, we are talking 1200ish people in Cuba, that is like 50% of its population.

The place to stay

We stayed at Lady Bug Rv it is a great place to stay but I would get my name in the pot because they already have several signed up for next year, hope you all make it.

Ladybug RV Park...location very convenient to Cowtown (right around the corner), owners are very nice, place is clean, LOTS of Spyders there. Sites are long so there is no problem with big rigs. Definitely would get a reservation early...we've already got our spot reserved, as did a number of other folks. This year's rate was $95/week.

Reserved for next year at Chateau Inn and Suite very close to all activities been with them the last two, want to thank the Mo gang for their time to put such a good week of activities you guys rock  and also Cowtown, thank you Len :firstplace: for checking my Spyder before i left.

I'm second in line for ladybug camp ground, even have my spot picked out. Please if you make a reservation and can not make it call and cancel, ladybug was booked full but several people did not come and did not call to cancel the reservation, the folks at ladybug won't take your money until you get there so they will not take a deposit to get anything if you are a no-show. The place was clean, quiet (except for a dog or two) and you can see the stars! the only draw back is that the location is so close to I44 that you always hear the whine of tires.

We've been at the Lady Bug RV Park the last two years. Super nice people run it. the I44 noise didn't bother us a bit. Great place to network with other spyder folks.

Well that's just great-- judging by the online booking services, pretty much EVERYTHING hotel/motel-wise is sold out for next year's Spyderfest already :yikes::mad:.

Couple places in Rolla still available, at ridiculous rates... but that's it.

Guess that as long as it's held in Cuba there's a permanent ceiling on how big Spyderfest can get...

We stayed at the Candy Cane RV Park in Steeleville. It is a small park, nice and quiet, but there were 3 Spyders there. They were limited on room for big rigs, but still a nice, clean park and it was pretty convenient to all the festivities.
