• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyderfest Hotels sold out!

Just thinking I'd book a room for the Spyderfest in April and seems hotels are already sold out. If you know of anything in the area that's nice and clean let me know. Looks like this one is going to be even bigger then last year. Last year it wasn't even a problem finding a room.

I ran into the same problem as you did. I contacted the Baymont Inn & Suites in Sullivan, MO and booked a room there. They were very friendly and seemed to have lots of rooms left when I called last week.

They are about 20 minutes away from Cuba from what I understand.

Did you call all the hotels? I understand that all hotel rooms were being saved for Spyderfest and online they are shown as being full. I stayed in Rolla (free hotel nights for me) last year and if I get to go this year will stay at the HIExpress again.

Do call the hotels and tell them it's for spyderfest. there are motels in St James 7 miles from Cuba to the west. Theres the Econo Lodge Inn and Suits 573-265-5005. There is another one but not listed in the phone book and not all that sure it's decent. The Econo lodge is good. there's a bed and brkfst too. But if all else fails I may lend out my house with 2 brms and 2 bath as I will probably be at the Lady bug campground. As a MoGang member will be kinda busy helping you all get squared away. I think. Keep looking at St james , Steelville, Sullivan, (even Rolla, West of Cuba, has a bunch of places and it's only 20 mi +or- a mile.) :D
 
We are currently working on more lodging done under spyderfest name so you will be in a hotel surronded by fellow spyder ryders, aswell as working on discounts for everyone, more will be realeased after the first Spyderfest U.S offical meeting 11/05/11

Its the Frisco Street Bed & Breakfast in Steelville for my wife and I. Wednesday till Sunday. This will be our first Spyderfest!

Make sure when you ask for a reservation that you say you are attending Spyderfest. All the hotels have that week reserved for Spyderfesters.

I got a spot at Lady Bug RV park, Don't know at this time if I'll be able to make it, but have a spot reserved.:ohyea:
 
I just made reservations at the Day's Inn in St James 573 265 2900; they still have rooms. I think Spyderfest will be huge this year since rooms are already getting hard to find.:thumbup:
 
I'm amazed that there has been very little promotion on the site for this event and it's already sold out. :yikes:

We have several months before we even start promoting this event. Guess that says a lot for the last two years events and the work the MO Gang put into it. :bowdown: :thumbup:

Made mine at the Day's Inn in St James. Room is 226.75 for four nights stay, and only (if I remember right) 15 minute ryde away.

rcdurango, my doughter just postponed her wedding date so looks like we will be able to go if we find a place to stay. can`t believe everything in town is gone already. let me know where you end up staying.
