• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Planning on attending my first Spyderfest in 2016. I've seen the dates have been announced as April 27th - May 1st. Does anyone know the host hotel or gave any good recommendations

I hasn't been announced yet, at least not by the folks who are deciding. But the dates you've seen are probably really good guesses, bases on past experience.

Last year there were four host hotels, but I can remember only two of them - Lamplighter Inn North and Best Western Plus Coach House. There are numerous hotels in that same area.

Something To Look Forward To

Just tucked my Spyder away for it's long winter nap. With the announcement of the 2016 Spyderfest dates, I'll have something to look forward to as the days get shorter, and the temperatures get colder. I've read so many great post about this event. I'm really looking forward to my 1st trip to Springfield, MO. I've got my name on a list @one of last year's hotels since the 2016 Spyderfest hotel arrangements are still in the works.
 
The best suggestion that I can come up with... :D

The Hotel doesn't matter; you'll be spending all of your "awake time", on the bike, or with your new bestest friends anyway! :2thumbs:

There will be at least 4 Host Hotels with Guest Hosts
(I assume the other hosts will be providing their info and hotels).

417 862-0701 (call the hotel direct for special Rate). Be sure to tell them you are part of the Spyderfest Group.

This hotel is a single level and you park in front of your room.

Rates are 79.95 + tax for 2 queen or 1 King rooms, they are taking reservations now.

You can register for Spyderfest online starting January 1, 2016, first 500 registrants get extra stuff.

After you register at the Best Western Coach House please send me a PM with the first names of those staying there and an email address so i can update you on event info [email protected]

People staying at one of the Host Hotels get to enjoy extras that non Host Hotels do not provide (Cold Drinks, Meeting Rooms, Parties, Etc)
