• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I hit St Louis airport about 3pm, get my car and drive in. I'll hit the hotel and try to go by Cowtown to check in, if it is still open (I'm guessing 5-6pm-ish). Can't wait!!

I'll be wearing a t-shirt with my avatar on it, only really big!

Does anyone know where to find a motel room this late?

In Cuba is going to be tough. However, if you don't mind riding around 12 miles you should be able to get rooms at the Baymont in Sullivan. It's a real nice place with excellent reviews and rates. The Baymont Inn phone number is (573) 860-3333.

I hope the airport is back open when you arrive...or that your flight isn't cancelled. Lambert took lots of storm damage from the tornados.

Sorry but we have had to cancel our trip to Cuba. Weather is so bad that we have decided on Sedona instead. Maybe next year. Have a great time.

I got an email from AA.com today saying that they are watching it for me and will be emailing updates to me. Gotta love technology. Praying for those ryding in and for those hit by the storms...

hotel room at spyderfest

I have rearranged my workload so i can be at spyderfest on Wednsday, Thursday, and Friday if i can find a place to stay. Looking forward to my first Spyder trip and gathering. Thanks for any info ahead of time.

A group of us is leaving from Dayton on Wed. morning and driving straight thru to Cuba, arriving Wed. PM. You are welcome to join us if you like. Check with EricDeub of OhioSpyderRyders.org to get the specifics of where to meet in Dayton. Otherwise check with brevet05. I'll be staying with him on Tues and we are all headed out on Wed.

That would have been great but the guy I was coming with decided not to go this year because of the wheather. He is in his 70's so I can understand. We are planning on going to North Carolina in June.

Well, I made it to Santa Fe, NM today...onto Oklahoma City tomorrow and in to Cuba on Tuesday. Will check weather channel and see if I change my route....today was an exhausting ryde...10 hrs of Mother Nature PSMing...she thru every mood out there...from sun to wind to rain to thunderstorms....the wind was the most exhausting...but hey here I am and looking forward to tomorrow's ryde and then coming into Cuba in blaze of "glory"...whatever that looks like :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Since the subject is rain,it looks like it is supposed to be partly cleared up by the weekend. Do people bring covers to cover up your Spyder at night in case of rain?..Does it hurt to sit in the rain? Never had a bike before..

I left Santa Monica CA Friday 7am went 550 miles and then another 600 ran out a gas once but used my reda can. Did not fill it up, & guess what ram out 5 miles till my next had station. Had a 1 hr delay but arrived in Cedar park TX visiting my brother. He rode the spyder with his wife & loved it. Off to Little Rock tomorrow. Had the DPS come on today while riding, so I shut it down & the check engine light never came on again:dontknow: other than that I am having the time of my life. Everyone ride safe:thumbup:
