• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyderfest 2011- Friday

After a long day and night on Thursday I wasn't too thrilled to be at the Fairgrounds to start cooking pancakes for everyone but I knew the MO gang and Len had to be more wore out than I was and I knew they would be there bright and early. When I got there everything was laid out and ready to go but we had power issues that really put a hurt on us for running all those skillets. I wound up just supervising BajaRon and really didn't do much cooking, he's much better at it than I was anyway, just ask him. :D

We had a really good turnout and I'm pretty sure nobody left hungry.

After breakfast folks started to line up for the group rides. They planned some really great rides. :2thumbs:

Hung out at the Vendor Village for a bit waiting for a phone call.

I thought I was going to do some wrenching on my Spyder with the tech's but they had a much better idea, they wanted to go for a ride! :2thumbs:

One of the guys got a map of the area and the ride we took was right around 260 miles of fantastic roads. I had no idea that there were so many great roads around here, reminded me of home. We all swapped Spyders and the tech's got a chance to try out some of my mods. I will say that these guys really know how to ride and we did a little of our own "performance testing". It was the best ride I've taken all year and I hope there are more to follow like that. :doorag:

From there we got cleaned up at the hotel and headed out to dinner at my favorite BBQ joint in Cuba. The food was great and the fellowship was even better.

From there we headed over to the golf course for the night time fun. There were plenty of games and a band and lots of stuff going on but to be honest I never got to far from my RT, I was talking with folks non stop.

How many of these famous SpyderLovers can you name?

There were a lot of great looking Spyders there.

I didn't get too many pics or video mostly because I was too busy riding or talking with folks there. I will say the day was just about perfect, I really don't see how it could have been any better. nojoke

The day was absolutely great, from breakfast to bed time (which was late). Great write up Lamont. Glad you enjoyed your ride with the BRP Gang.
