There will be one more edition of spyderCodes.

It will have the updates for the most recent models.
It will be free, as an update on both platflorms (iOS and android)
The iOS version has been moved to a paid app and new downloads will be on that basis.
Updates will be free for all who have the app.
Android downloads are currently free but that will change after the next update.

After the free updates are distributed to long time owners and friends, then each download will be available for a fee.

The reasons for this change have been documented elsewhere.

Thanks Roger. You are a good soul and a good friend to the Spyder community. I've had the app since you first put it out there, and it has helped me in many ways on many occasions to gain a better understanding of the mysterious workings of my Spyder. Don't be a stranger, let us know from time to time what new projects you are working on. Another VW maybe?

I have to do it this way because the rules for the App store and the Play Store differ slightly

iOS (apple)
The next update will be free and automatic.
After that, depending on the reason for the update (I don't charge for bug fixes) you will either receive it free or have the option to purchase it.

Android
The next update will be free and automatic.

spyderCodes will be replaced by spyderCodesPro which will be a paid app.
Each update for spyderCodesPro will be free and automatic.

Did I miss something, Roger? Have your efforts to produce SpyderCodesPro run into difficulties? I still have my original download of SpyderCodes and I presume it is up to date on my iPhone. Was eagerly awaiting SpyderCodesPro and am willing to pay for it as well. Now that I actually have a 2018, it would be nice to have an app that "knows" it's codes.
