While not as ambitious as some trips chronicled on the walls of this forum, my lovely wife and I are planning a Spydercation to the absolutely beautiful Skyline Drive.
Yeah I've heard they've had a bit of a problem but it occupies a special place in our hearts.
We started to go to Skyline Drive camping at Big Meadows before we were married.
That would place it right before fallen vegetation started to turn into coal.
Later we moved from a tent to one of several VW Campers.
Had I had the foresight to save that series of vehicles in the pristine shape they were when I got them my garage could be a vast underground area with Spyders of every color parked there waiting to amuse me.
But alas, I sold them off to buy new ones until the series finally ended with me rejoicing that I had gotten a hundred bucks for something that no longer ran.
Anyway ...
Camping has lost its appeal so we will staying in one of Skyland's nicer rooms.
So at the end of this week we will be packing up, I am hoping to be able to pack my toothbrush and a spare pair of socks in my new F3, Pugsly.
My better half will need to mule everything else in cavernous RT.
Gawd, Spydering is fun.
