• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder work rack

Needed a place to work on my Spyder so I built this rack from motorcycle loading ramps. Didn't want to tie up carport space so I made it easy to take apart and fold up by removing just a few pins. The ramps can be removed to access both sides to work on bike unobstructored. I will be more than happy to help anyone traveling with a Spyder (in lower Alabama) and needing to raise it high enough to work under. Have tools, flatbed and enclosed trailer. Am never without a supply of Ramen noodles and Coors.

A little word of advise.......... Do not drink the Coors before you pull that up on the ramps, serious injury or death may occur. nojoke

:2thumbs: Fantastic concept! I didn't build one I designed because of tying up floor space for occasional use-never thought of folding wall mount-Good Job!

Nice job  but the right side looks a little tight for working on stuff :dontknow:

Your observation is right on. Initially the brace from the wall was 2 feet longer but I couldnt raise it up high enough to use that space as a carport.

I wanted to be able to raise it up to park my van and from that measurement was only able to go a certain distance from the wall and still be able to use my seat dolly at a height suitable to roll around on. I have however been able to use my mechanics dolly to roll around on my back underneath and get a good look at how this vehicle was put together.

If you had your tubing able to telescope out further, there would be more room to work on the right side. Kudos for going outside the box on this idea.

Fantastic idea. Plan to copy that for the car shed. I love the fact that it does not take up a parking space when not in use. Already have the ramps. I really like the feature where you can remove the ramps for easy access. Thanks for the great photos.

Very nice. I have been considering building a lift myself. I may steal some ideas here! Good job.
