• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

been crappy here ... snow then cold ..... ice in parking lot at work .... snow banks so high cant see around them ... this is the longest time without riding since i bought the spyder 3 years ago next month .... :gaah::gaah::gaah:
cant wait till some of this stuff melts.... ok i feel better now :coffee:

I feel for you guys. Even if I wouldn't have a Spyder, that is some horrible weather to live in. Maybe one day when you retire you can move where it's a bit warmer in the winter.

Hi Jamie. My fingers are crossed for you ( and me ) that at least the roads will be a little clearer so you can get out spydering again, soon!!

I am in a similar situation in that we've had a good bit of snow (and storms) the last week here. This is the longest consistent timeframe I've been without my Spyder was this week - roads are just snow covered and each night we get more white stuff.

I don't ryde when the roads are snow covered. Usually after a storm it takes 1-2 days for the roads to clear enough for me to ryde, personally. This time it has been 3 days, but hope for tomorrow!

Until then I've been taking the bus - but this is a GREAT TIME for maintenance, preventative or scheduled.

Not to worry... the snow will melt, the sun will shine again, the roads will be clear throughout the rest of winter and at some point spring indeed will come.

Good luck on your end too, bro!
Cheers and all the best for clear roads from Newfoundland!

I agree its a long time that the RT has been idle. Just out in the garage tinkering with the snow plow and talking with the Spyder. I love to ride my other BRP toys but it sure would be nice at 70 degrees, with the wheels turning instead of the track at 10 degrees.....

Hang in there Jamie, I'm sending you some real nice weather from the midwest in a couple days. :2thumbs: :ohyea:

I am getting lucky down here in South Eastern Pennsylvania, it got up to 40F today and will be warmer tommorow. I rode from 10:00am until sundown.

I will ask the cycle gods to send some warmth your way.
