• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Its Sunday, my wife and I wanted to go for a short ride and get back before the heat of the day, the forcast today is 100+ for the afternoon.

We often go to Oroville Dam and watch the boats being launched, it's about 50 miles away that would be idea, we could take a flask and something to eat at the picnic tables nearby.

DAH....the water level is the lowest I have seen in many years and most ramps have closed signs at the top.

We ventured down the long steep ramp and turned the corner to go towards the lake. It appears there is still one slipway open to those brave enough to risk it and I see two trailers parked with there vehicles so someone is out there.

I backed the Spyder down to the waters edge and stopped for a moment.

"Hey Mister" came a voice from out of the blue. I looked up, his single tooth glistened in the sunlight. "Hey Mister, that Jet Ski you have got there might get hung up at the end of the slipway as there are a few rocks just as you enter the water". I thought for a moment and replied, " That should not be a problem, it's is a four wheel drive" he answered " Oh good shouldn't be problem then".....

We could hear the distant sounds of banjo music in the background and decided to make a hasty retreat and go back to the picnic area and think about what just happened.

All in all a great day, any ride on the Spyder is a good one......
