• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

spyder trnsport

The loadall ramp setup is 4 feet wide, the ramp itself is narrower, it's agood idea, but I don't trust myself to take a 5 foot wide Spyder up a roughly 45 inch wide ramp especially with less than 3 inches of leeway at my truck's tailgate opening.

I know that ramp's too narrow. It's just an idea that could be modified to work for a Spyder using some 2x4's and a few sheets of plywood. Guides could also be attached to the ramp and platform to keep the machine lined up and avoid damage.

i love that on but i must call them and ask the price after they make the ramp wider and high enough to go over the wheel wills.if the price is right thats the one.prouble too much thow.ill prouble end up renting one from this three wheel club i just joined here in ottawa kansas.they all have traylers for thers.you guys and grils are grate thanks for all your help.

That ramp is around $2000 the way it is. :yikes: I'd build one myself out of plywood and 2x4's (and that T-bar) for about $200.

RT Trailer Tiedown

Here's my RT & trailer, tied down, ready to head for Florida.

The trailer is a 7x12' single-axle LOOK Trailer, with brakes, ramp & flap, several other nice options and total cost was $2809.
I have added a lot of hooks, shelves, lights, etc for traveling convenience. The tiedown approach follows the BRP guidelines, but is based on a solid rear floor tiedown, with 4 straps in front crossed between 2 floor hooks. The tongue weight, loaded, is about 285 lbs and it never gives me any trouble with swaying.

The 7' wide trailer can be a pain driving on narrow roads and corners, but sure does give you a lot of room and convenience for traveling, and loading.
A 6x10 is tight for a spyder, but a 7x12 gives you a lot of space for loading & hauling all your junk.

Here's an idea.....take GI Joe's ramp system from post #14 and adapt that to the inside of your truck box so that you could load your Spyder facing forward and clearing the wheel wells inside the box. Another great benefit of having it in the truck is it'll stay a lot cleaner up there.
.....and if you happen to have a receiver style hitch, you could fabricate a T-bar type of support out of square tubing. Extend the receiver so that it comes up just behind and across the width of your open tailgate. The top of the bar would be a bit higher than the gate. Now you can attach plywood from the T-bar forward, over top of the gate, and partway into the box. This way there won't be any stress on your tailgate. Ramps could also be attached to the T-bar instead of the tailgate when loading. I've had great success hauling snowmobiles this way.
Question....I have the same pattern for training the Spyder ..... Tell me it s legal the remorq the Spyder inside the box the pick-up with de tail gate open in your country??? I am go to Florida in March for 2 weeks .I am living in Quebec ,CDN, View attachment 10431:dontknow:
