I was doing some testing on my Spyder. I ran it up to 9,000 RPM to see what each gear would do. I held it at 9K for only 5 to 10 seconds at the most as I did not know what would happen at rev limiter time, and didn't want to find out. At the time I was running with the Givi windscreen, Hindle exhaust, and K&N air filter, no Juice Box or anything else so very lean.
Here are my results:
1st gear 52 mph
2nd gear 75 mph
3rd gear 93 mph
4th gear 110 mph
5th gear - I ran out of straight road so haven't pushed to 9,000 RPM yet.

However, since it roughly translates to a 20 mph increase per gear shift I am expecting my Spyder to top out at 130-135 or so.
I have not taken it to the drag strip, but I know where one is that is not too far away and does something they call grudge runs for street rides. I may have to go check that out sometime. I am not sure if it is a 1/8 or 1/4 mile strip at this point either. :dontknow:
I also think it is very funny that FireFly said to not tell his mom, as I hit 110 with my mom on the back of my Spyder and she is not a small woman by any means.

Just don't tell her I said she isn't small if you ever meet her. :roflblack:
