• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder TLAs

New Spyder ryders have a bunch of initially disconcerting experiences. The steering is different. The braking is different. The ryde experience is different. Plus, for the new ryder who wants to know how the Spyder operates, there is a plethora of new and baffling TLAs (three letter acronyms). Acronyms like ACS, CPS, EBD, etc.

To help me understand what all these different TLAs mean, I've put together a list of them, which I've included here. One of the confusing parts of the TLAs is that the same TLA can be used to mean two different things, depending on which section of the maintenance manual it's used in. For instance, FLS stands for Front Left Speaker in one section and Fog Light Switch in another. Other times, a different TLAs are used to reference the same thing. So, BSF is used to mean Brake Fluid Level Sensor in one section and OLS1 and OLS2 are used in another section.

Here's the PDF.
