• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Tech Training

I was wondering if BRP requires each dealer to have a BRP trained Spyder tech when they get the Spyder dealership. I would think their boats, etc would be a seperate issue as the Spyder is more complicated.

I think I read here where techs can take a "computer course" on the Spyder....??

:spyder2:

I wish my dealer's trained Spyder tech would get re-trained. More than once I've had to educate him about something...thanks to SpyderLovers.com!!!

He completely mis-diagnosed a problem I was having before I left for Maggie Valley. It's a good thing Kurt was there to straighten out so I could get back home.

I keep telling him to log on here and see what's going on. :lecturef_smilie:

:agree:

I think that is a good idea to suggest that Spyder dealers and techs should be a little familiar with our forum.

I know my dealer and staff do not check it regularly. When I see something good, I suggest they check it out.

I get questions once in a while about what the community is thinking or talking about.

There really is a lot of good information on Spyderlovers

My wife told me a dealer here in Ill was hiring for techs and would train !!! I am VERY VERY tempted to apply and see what happens but the drive would SUCK in winter but riding that far would ROCK in summer !
