• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have been on the Forum for a few months and I am still getting used to some of the terms used by the group, frunk, farkle, etc. Is there a list of the terms used and their meaning?

PE---- This is the Premiere Edition Spyder that came out in 2008 with a production number printed on the handle bar. This Spyder has a very high resale value because they are so rare. An imitation PE RT Spyder came out in 2010, but it's not the original. ;)

Only one of the PE Spyders have the custom color handlebar plate that matches the paint of the Spyder, so thats worth the most. :thumbup:

I don't actually think that a list has been developed... yet! :shocked:
Oh! Here's one that you may have forgotten:
":gaah::cus::banghead::gaah:":cus:"
That translates to:
"Gee... My Spyder has suddenly decided to light the display up orange, and enter Limp Mode." :yikes: :D

...not to be confused with:

:cus::cus:

which means:

"This f'ing POS is showing me an orange gecko, and nobody will f'ing tell me what it means!!!"

And there's also the popular,":banghead::gaah::cus:"
Which translates as,
"Why does the dealer charge do much for routine service?" :shocked:

You know, I've often wondered that myself. If I know how to fix Spyder's I'd open up a shop called "Rob's Spyder Shop" and charge half as much. But I don't, so....... Oh, never mind. :shocked:

...but back to the subject at hand.

Did you know that the word "farkle" is actually in the Urban Dictionary, which means I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it in the Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, 12th Edition, which is due out in 2015. ;)

words and meaning

Hey, Bob Denmon I used :banghead::banghead::gaah::gaah::cus::cus::gaah: a lot when I was installing 4.5 risers on my spyder
