There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyder stereo

What is a good stereo for a Spyder? I was also thinking about using my ipod and mounting some speakers near the handlebars. Any thoughts? Thanks.

black bracket on the middle of the handle bar holds my iphone.
it connects with 1/4" plugs and have power adapter also.
speaker pods were made with abs pipes and fiberglass(first set for me) and woofer and tweeters are polk audio marine certified.

I have the Shark 250 watt system from gooddeals18 too. It's good bang for your $129 bucks. I have the 6" subwoofer, not installed yet, son is going to mount it in the trunk for me.
Sound quality and volume are good for this size speaker. One downside is there are no radio station presets... every time you turn it on it's on station 87.5 and if you want to listen to radio, you have to find the station. But that's alright, I have all my favorite radio stations as well as ipod on my iPhone, so I just use it with my iphone. I also have Navigon GPS on my iphone, and the voice giving directions comes out of the speakers, too, as loud as your volume setting, and can be heard over the music.

I did that and used 2 wheel tunes which is now called something else (I forget what) but anyway - vibration caused one of the speakers to go and it was too "tinny" sounding. Now that I have a 2 bros pipe, I can't hear music anyway unless I put earbuds in my ears.

Now, If I were to do music again, I'd get some good marine speakers and put them on the front & sides of the Spyder - someone did that in here I think - might be in the How To section. Then you gotta get some bass in there too. Then a hydraulic lift to make the :spyder2: go up and down to the music:2thumbs: Oh yeah, and lights - strobe lights - would look very cool to the music, oh yeah and hang a little disco ball from the license plate - nice!

Don't mind me - Day 7 with no cigs - I'm going NUTZ

Good for you Smylinacha! Hang in there. If you can kick it, you will be doing the best thing in the world for your health. From everything I have been told, it's a tough addiction to beat, but you can do it!

The Shark set has an audio in port for yout iPod and marine waterproof speakers. Mine's only been on about 800 miles, so can't tell you how it will hold up over time, but so far, I'm happy with it, especially at it's price.

4 yrs ago I was eating Marlboros, last year I had bronchitis and learned from the Dr.that I have emphysema.Somehow today I feel like I bought myself emphysema.

Do you think I'll look as sexy with the hose in my nose as I did smoking that red M?

Stick with it,you can quit!

sorry to steal the thread, shark is great for the money,

I had the 100 watt version of the shark and it was designed for full time power to the tuner, The draw back is the key no longer shuts it off. But it is easier to turn it on and off than retune it every time. I loved it and always figured the speakers alone were worth the price of the system.

:agree:For sure! Waving Hi to a fellow Missourian.

Smylin, I posted last night a congrats for your smoke free week, don't know what happened to that post. Oh well, today I can offer :congrats: on 8 smoke free days!

I have the Shark system as well but have been having all sorts of probs with the stereo unit itself. They have really poor ports and plug ins won't stay seated.

I just ordered the Jensen JHD910 and will try that. It's compatible with the Shark amp and speakers and it has a much better antenna option than the Shark trailing wire which sucks! Can still use my iPod as well

If it isn't any better, I'll send it back
