• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can someone help? I really am lost on this one.
My RS pulls to the Left. I tried letting nearly all the air out of the right tire, and It still pulled. I can't think of anything else to do

PS I also tried airing them the other way around also. It is as if the inflation is irrelevant

Help?

i would suggest switching the left with the right, then you'll know if it's the bike or the tire. tire pressure at 20 lbs.

Sounds like an alignment problem. Hit any bad pot holes or curbs lately, or perhaps another rider(if you let someone else ride it) had a little mishap?

I agree that this might be an alignment issue. I was hoping someone really smart.. Might tell me how to do a seat of the pants adjustment which would make it pull less. Like to in on the left side one turn or something like that

Sadly, there are NO shortcuts to aligning it. ONLY thing you'll likely do is screw it up, unless you really know your way around stuff like that. :sour:

It could indicate front suspension damage or an alignment problem, but I'm guessing your steering sensors are out of calibration. Your dealer can zero them.

Alright. Even though I am a tech Weenie I don't understand the whole steering sensor thing. Can you tell me what they do and how they operate?

They are magic! :joke: Just kidding, of course. There is a steering angle sensorand a steering torque sensor. They are involved in the Vehicle Stability System. If the steering torque does not match the steering angle, the Spyder will apply the brakes individually to try to maintain the selected steering line. A sensor mismatch or failure can do the same thing when it is not wanted or needed.

Incidentally I love your avatar. I somehow found a you tube video of that thing and watched it forever....

Funny stuff

It looks like I will need to make a trip to my dealer. I am a busy guy, and It irritates me to have to make all the arrangements involved. Maybe I will just keep holding the handgrip and fighting it for the rest of the year

thanks for the info

Try getting up to speed and turn your key off. If it's an electrical or sensor problem it would likely stop pulling.

Should induce Limp Mode VSS failure if more than 7 degrees, no?

That will also turn off the DPS and cause steering to get tighter!

A number of people here have ridden with their DPS inactive for extended periods and didn't even know it. When travelling in a straight line the DPS hardly works, if at all.....so turning the power off and coasting is only a test to see if it stops pulling to the left.

Shire the brake or bearing isn't dragging ?

Either way this sure looks like a trip to the dealer is warranted...

I'd hate to see you continue to fight with the bars for control; you're probably wearing out your front tires in a hurry!
