Spyder speakers

[Country Spyder]

So I know several of you have added speakers to your spyders, but I have never seen them done like what I think I see in this picture.

I think I see speaker cut outs on the two side pans.

Interesting idea, but I have to believe that the heat is not good on the speakers.

Thoughts??

I am kicking around the idea of adding speakers and wanted the groups input on this and any other ideas.

I was gonna do that to my Spyder too - I like the looks but I was concerned about the heat and really, how well could you hear it - you'd have to have quite an amp hooked up with some decent base. So instead I got some good stereo headphones for my helmet.

I originally had two wheel tunes speakers hooked up by my bars - it was "tinny" and the vibration of the Spyder blew out a speaker so I took them off.

That might work on a show bike, but I also think the heat would cause major problems with those speakers in that position. At a minimum it has to be blocking some of the airflow for the cooling system of the Spyder as well.

I mounted small speakers inside the cowl, sound comes out thru the holes on each side of the instrument cluster. Don't sound too bad Bumblebee says she knows when I'm coming by the music over top of an HMF muffler.

That is the spot I fabricated some brackets and clamped them to the framework of the cowl small oval speakers would probably be better but I used small round ones.
