There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyder Sighting: Upstate NY

I was driving through Smithville Flats this afternoon after work just before 3:00pm when I saw a white RS with a touring windshield and matching saddlebags. If I didn't have to get home before my appointment with the doctor I would have stopped to say hello. I pass through there all the time and have never seen a spyder there before. Might be a newbie:2thumbs:

Just sayin'............

I find it interesting that my dealer has sold many spyders in my local area of northern Vermont and surrounding places such as upstate New York, but I seem to be the only local rider on a spyder out on the roads here most of the time. I do see other spyders every now and then riding with other motorcycle groups and sometimes a lone rider on occasion, but not very often. With all the spyders that my dealer sells, I wonder where everyone is out riding. I'm thinking about organizing a ride in Northern Vermont at some point to see who comes out of the wood work. The northern parts of NY and VT have many nice places to visit. It does seem however, that many folks up here are more independent riders though. I did organize a ride a couple years ago in Vermont's North East Kingdom which I called the "Lakes Region Tour". Many of the riders that showed up were from NY and some of the local folks from around my area also joined in along with BRP's regional Canam rep, Chad Rice. We had a great time and enjoyed a relaxing lunch-in at a restaurant at the lake front of beautiful Lake Memphremagog in Newport Vermont on the Canadian border which was paid by BRP. We thanked Chad for picking up the tab for us! The point of all this is, riding spyders I find is a wonderful way to meet and make new friends. Spyders are unique vehicles and more and more are being seen on the roadways. I'm glad that we have organized rides where we can gather and enjoy the company of other folks with that same common interest with the spyder every now and then.

I to have been seeing spyders in the area .I saw another white one in Binghamton (mine was the only one I had seen) I saw a blue one in Whitney Point yesterday Two up. I had a guy tell me he had seen four in one day mine (white), a grey ,Blue. and Red. But most of the time I'm riding and working so I have to be someplace and they are usually going the other way.

I have the same issue here in the Memphis area. The dealers around here are selling :spyder2: left and right, but yet I will run into one once every so often either on the roads, or a group like a bike night of sorts.

Check here and other forums since there might be a Spyder group like a Spyder Ryders of America chapter or just a local group. I hope you have a better response than I am having since a lot of the Memphis :spyder2: riders are either loners or ride with their local groups, mainly a Church Faith group. Good luck!

Spyder increase

I just spent 4 days at Lake George at Americade, 3 years ago I saw maybe 1 or 2 Spyders there, this year there were 4 in the parking lot of the motel that I was staying at, all RT's

I'm actually in the process of trying to get a work transfer to that area. It'll probably take upwards of a year or so before I know. But if it happens, i'll look you up! I'd love to ride the lake in the Newport area and have you show me around if you wouldn't mind.

Sure, I always like to meet other SL members. I'll keep that in mind.

SL members

Did you run into any S.L members?

Funny, no, but I was stopped by a lot of people asking about my Seal Floorboards, Diamond R armrests, and a converted Harley rider with a new 2012 RT A/C, I told them all to signup to Spyderlovers if they want to learn more about the Spyder!

Dave ;)

Last week as I drove through Delhi NY to pick up at a dairy place down the road, saw a red rt parked at the supermarket ..... and I reiterate my comment that sr 28 between oneonta & Delhi sucks for driving tractor trailers !:yikes:

If you would have been a SL earlier you would have seen we have been doing group rides since 2009, and generally around 15.

Ron,
Some Lady just traded in a Blue 2010 RS at Tom's for an RT... Do you know who it was?
(A local up here bought the bike; it's very nice....)

Nope, right now I'm sipping on a captain and diet coke sitting at the Mt Mckinley lodge looking at Mt. Mckinley, incredible, completely snow covered and 64 degrees. Pics when I get home in 10 days.

I agree with you. There are only 2 Can-Am Dealers in the state, 1) is Land Air in Essex Junction, 2) Central Vermont Motorcycles @ 360 West St. Rutland, Vt. 05701 Here is their Phone # (802)- 773-4533 or Toll Free 1(800)-639-1664. They have BRP, Artic Cat, Honda Motorcycles, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda Power Equipment. Here is their web site:

www.centralvermontmotorcycles.com.

I bought my Can-Am @ Land Air. I have a 2012 RT. I don't see to many Spyder riders in the State.
