Hey Spyder Lovers,
I am looking for your input on a matter concerning the upcoming required Spyder Service and possible modifications to the Spyder.
There's s a learing curve when it comes to providing technical service to a new product such as the Spyder, that being said...it is possible the Spyder dealership with the most experience working on them at this stage of the game, may be a dealership whose service technicians have purchased a Spyder for themselves and have received training from BRP for the Spyder as well.
It is not necessarily true that Spyder dealerships that have sold a large number of Spyders will have the best service, but I wouldn't count them out either.
I have a Spyder dealership that is just 3 miles away, however they lack any experience with the Spyder as they just started selling the Spyder in April 2008. The owner indicated that he will be purchasing one soon and to the best of my knowledge they may have sold one Spyder so far. Given some time I feel confident the service staff will come up to speed. At this point in time I would like to have the peace of mind, knowing that whoever works on my Spyder has done it before. Driving the extra miles to have it done right----priceless.
I am asking my fellow Spyder owners in Michigan and Wisconsin who they would recommend to perform the required Spyder service. The name/address/telephone/e-mail of the dealership and the name of the person who you're recommending to perform the required service and some additional accessorizing. (I appreciate your input Deb)
At this point in time I am willing to drive a few extra miles to have the peace of mind.
Your thoughts and recommendations will be appreciated.
