• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Saved us today

DAVE

Good news! Give yourself some credit for good driving, otherwise it could have been worse. Best wishes to Sharon for her knee to not sustain permanent deer hoof imprints. Too bad you had to cancel your trip.

:agree::agree::agree::agree::agree::agree:,......Dee and I wish you both a speedy recovery. Glad it wasn't worse.......Mike

Wow! Glad you are ok!! Sounds like some great driving too :) Hope Sharon is fine also. I'll be anxious to hear the story next time the dog takes you for a walk....

Great news

Quick reflexes and a guardian angle stepped in to save the day.

Yikes..!!

So glad to hear you both came out of it in good shape. Sorry you had to cancel the trip but were able to get back home under your own power. Hope it is all just cosmetic damage but check it all out...great driving..:2thumbs: now take it easy...:lecturef_smilie:

Glad you both are ok! Had a doe and two fawns run out in front of me last week :yikes:Was able to stop in time. That was the first close call on the Spyder, hit the brakes pretty hard, that thing tracked just as straight as can be. The main thing is you are fine. Hope your lady's knee is healing well.

Yikes!! Glad you are both OK.

Next Monday I plan to ride from Stroudsburg on 209 up to Milford in the Del Water Gap. Me on my Spyder & my bro on 2 wheels

Let's hope the deer are snoozing. .

HA! Dog walked us this evening. picked her up from the kennel 5 days early. Actually 8 hours after we dropped her off. Sharon wanted to take her out. As long as she keeps moving the knee is good. When she stops it starts to get stiff and hurt.

I see there are more rasberries on you property that need to get picked. HMM! might need to walk up the road for dessert on Friday.

deer

now you are a deerslayer. never let go. drive like your life depended on it because it does. good driving you didn't panic. say a little prayer.:doorag::bdh:deerslayer milt

Looks like I am not riding for the entire month of July:banghead:

Dealer cant get it in to do a repair estimate until the 9th. Then it could take up to 2 weeks for the insurance company to aprove the repairs. Then order parts, and wait till they all come in then put all the pieces back together.

How is Sharon feeling today? :dontknow:
It normally takes a day for the adrenaline to wear off; and the aches and pains to set up and be noticed...

She is good. Swelling was down this morning and she has been on the go working around the house. Now that the swelling is down we can actually see were the deer impacted her leg. About a 4 inch area just below the knee. She has not complained about pain all day.

Deer are a major hazard. I have had several close calls this year. Glad you made it through in good shape. he safety and stability of the Spyder is continually proven.

Damn. Glad your ok. That is definitely a deer, bear, turkey area for sure. Right in my back yard so to speak. We do the 209 area often. Will be there tomorrow in the cage with our grandson. Bushkill Falls, Childs Park. Tom :spyder:

Wow, Dave. Who would have thought it could happen at that time of day? Just goes to show that you never know.

I'm sorry about your a deer strike, and the fact that you now have a broken Spyder, and had to cancel your trip. But I'm REALLY glad to hear that both you and Sharon are OK.
